It always seems really self-serving and entitled and pouty when people write blog posts about how their life stage is uniquely challenging. Obviously, that has never stopped me before, (probably because I am all three of those things).
When my dear friend Jamie asked me to write a blog post on ‘how to love single women’, I realized I had found away to be all of those things without appearing to be any of those things. Win.
I came up with four ways that married women could really minister to folks like me:
#1 Know when to be silent.
#2 Know when to speak.
#3 Know what not to speak.
#4 Know what to speak.
Check out the post here and let me know what you think!
Wow! You hit the nail on the head…AGAIN! Thanks for wording these thoughts so beautifully! The Lord’s given me a handful of friends who love me well and your words make me that more appreciative of them. Thanks, Fabs!
Fabs, I read this post earlier today, and I loved it. Thanks so much!
I’d love to read this but can’t access the site. =( Can you help me please?!
I posted the full post on my blog today!
I’ve been lurking around your blog for a few months and, as with all of your posts, found this one really insightful and loved it. Also wanted to let you know I blogged about it here: http://independentdolly.wordpress.com/2012/05/15/letting-go-of-the-life-i-planned-for-me/ 🙂
Awesome! Thanks for the encouragement!
