A break for me

Hi friends!

This is going to be my last post for awhile!

If you’ve been reading my blog for any amount of time (even for a day) you know it’s been a messy, bumpy ride.

I’ve wrestled with sin and scripture and repentance and faith with all of you for a long time and it’s time to have a season where He & I get to do that without posted words or published posts.  I think seasons away from ministry are good for all of us, and I’m thankful that I have the opportunity to take a break and rest in Him while surrounded by my amazing community.

I’m honestly not sure how long this season will be, but I covet your prayers:

  • Prayers for this season to deepen my love and affection for Jesus
  • Prayers for this season to deepen my experience and belief in the love and affection Jesus has for me
  • Prayers for this season to bring me closer to those I love and make me better able to minister to them

Thank you all so much.

  1. Thanks for sharing, Fabs! May God now bless this season of quietness and looking to Him, the Author and Finisher of our Faith.

  2. Vulnerability is a beautiful yet rare characteristic today. Thank you for being so transparent. I’m a new reader but you’ve touched on a lot of deep things I think most of us are afraid to address. I love the song “We Dance” by Steffany Frizzlle Gretzinger, “And i’ve been told to pick up my sword and fight for love, little did I know that love had won for me”.

  3. Fabs,

Thank you so much for sharing your honest words with the world. May God continue His beautiful work in you. As I’m typing this I’m just getting a sense of immense excitement for you as you enter this season!!

    Will be praying for you.
    He’s got you.

  4. Missing the truth and raw honesty you share but praying that you are so deep in love with our Savior and resting in His presence right now.
But also… selfishly ready for you to come back

  5. Been thinking about you, Fabs. Came to your blog to see if you’ve posted. Praying right now for your heart… that Jesus is the One you’re running to in this new year and season and that he’s the one in whom you’re finding comfort and rest. Love you, friend. God is still using words you’ve spoken and techniques you’ve taught me to study the Bible to this day.

  6. Please come back!! I miss your blog posts and all the wonderful wisdom! Every time I read one of your posts, I feel like I get a clearer image of God and His love and I love Him more and more in response to my deepening understanding of Him.

  7. I somehow just discovered your blog only today and I love it. I agree with Jessica above, please come back! You have a God-given way with words that touches souls and impacts lives. Thank you

  8. Fabs! You are missed! I so hope you’re doing well. I came back to your sweet page for some encouragement tonight. I’ve been a fan of you for almost five years now. Thank you for putting so many things to words in a way that makes sense and makes me feel known- and best of all, makes me want Jesus more. Know that even in your break from writing, your words are ministering to many. Especially me! There are posts I come back to/reference time and time again:)

    Thank you.
