Before I explain what I mean by “Gospel-Centered” or “Jesus-Centered”, let me be clear: I’m not trying to make the argument that we ‘should’ be one of these things or the other. I’m trying to make the argument that they are DIFFERENT. And it’s important we notice what we center around, and own the strengths, weaknesses, and biases that our centering brings.*

Noticing what is at the center of your paradigm of God, or at the center of your communities culture is important to me for three reasons.

First, it helps you become mindful of your strengths, weaknesses, and bias as a community.
